    Worked very well. I have two of these. SWR is good on the two I have. I use these on Wouxun, Baofeng and TD radios along with using as a temporary base antenna at 50 watts and 70cm antenna for cross band repeat at 5 watts and worked very well. You just need to have a metal ground plane to get good swr. I used plastic cardboard with radials of aluminum tape and works well hanging in a closet or up in a tree.

    I love this radio: Only thing I did not like when receiving my radio was that all the channels came preprogrammed with transmit ctcss tones. Other than that I love this radio.

Having Tx tones enabled doesn't affect operation at all, only Rx tones, so you can safely just ignore them or remove them if you feel so compelled. they are on by default in case the receiving party wants to quickly turn on their Rx CTCSS so they only hear you, and also to help people learn about that setting. :) Cheers!]

    For the price, you can’t beat it. I bought this radio on a whim, just to try it out. Now mind you I have a Motorola xpr7550 and multiple higher end Wouxuns. I've got to say this has become my favorite little EDC. It has a very good receive and transmit, and the screen is super easy to see in bright sunlight. Dual receive [ED: Dual Watch] and dual channel display for monitoring 2 channels at once. The audio is very good as well. For the price, you can’t beat it.

    I purchased the KG-UV9PX after getting my Technicians license in April of this year. I am very happy with the radio, and having just tested it using a TinySA Ultra + can confirm that this is NOT one of those cheap radios from China you hear so much hate about. Once it settles down, there is only one harmonic strong enough to show up on the TinySA on both the VHF and UHF bands. In my case the harmonic displayed was over 45dB lower than the fundamental, which means the radio meets or exceeds the FCC requirements.

    I do not hesitate to recommend this radio! And, Mark has provided me with very timely responses to my after purchase support questions.

    This is an outstanding radio. I have had no issues with reviving or transmitting. Plenty of power and clear speaker. My one complaint and I read this somewhere else also, in the cold the screen goes white. I had it outside for maybe 10 minutes tonight at a shooting match I was working, it was about 30 degrees outside and it went white so you could not see anything on the screen. It will still receive and transmit but you cannot see the screen.

I haven't heard of widespread problems with the screen in cold conditions - have you tried keeping the radio inside a nylon radio case to try and insulate it a little? TFT displays don't do so great in freezing conditions, but the radio is rated to operate (i.e. communicate) down to 22 degrees F. Cheers and Be Safe!]

    Great radio. Bought it in case SHTF and to at least be able listen in on any important updates and connect with users in my area. There’s definitely a learning curve if you're coming into this scene cold but it’s doable with the manual and YouTube video resources available and just playing with it putting in the practice. People always stop me and ask me about it when I’m out and about playing with it on hikes or in the city. They always say “I need to get one of those.” Thanks!

    As it stands right at the moment of this review, this is my favorite radio by far. There is one of another brand that gets close due to some features and band coverage, but the features of this radio surpass the other at the end. I love that I can scan groups, which makes it very easy to find activity. The feel and performance are excellent. I do agree with the screen being difficult to read but like it was mentioned before, almost all radios with this type of screen are in the same page. I have adjusted the programmed frequency to a more local approach, but I have left the core intact. Of course, I also saved the original programming! That list of frequencies must have taken a lot of time to create since it is an all-inclusive. This is My Precious! Out of the collection, it gets the special treatment! I think it is a great purchase and wouldn't hesitate to get another if needed. Oh! about customer service... IT IS A++ Thank you for answering my email and help me with my mess up.
