Commercial/Business/Ham Radio
Ideal for security patrols, private investigators, business communications, schools, universities, construction crews and other organizations that have FCC licensed frequencies. Also great for Amateur Radio (Ham) communications, including ARES and RACES. Full 5 Watts of transmit power on VHF and 4 Watts on UHF for increased range. Dual Watch Receive Mode & FM Radio
Allows monitoring two communication channels simultaneously (V+V, U+U & V+U) in dual watch mode (audio from one channel at a time). Great for scanning emergency channels while monitoring a “home” channel or even listening to FM Broadcast Radio. Single receive mode is also available.
148 Channels & 2 Power Levels
Easily program up to 128 regular VHF/UHF channel memories with 6-character alpha-numeric tags, and 20 FM Broadcast Radio station channels (148 channels total). 2 programmable power levels for operating flexibility (VHF: 5/1W, UHF: 4/1W). Note: LMRS (Land Mobile Radio Service) operation is a coordinated band requires an FCC license. Amateur Radio (Ham) operation also requires a license. This radio is not “type-accepted” for use on other bands such as GMRS, FRS, MURS, MMS, etc.
