The KG-UV9G is a firmware-modified version of the popular Wouxun KG-UV9P, which is an upgraded, high-power version of the revered and trusted Wouxun KG-UV9DPlus, known for its quality superheterodyne receivers, reliable performance & pro features. The UV9G is functionally identical to the UV9P Amateur/Ham radio, but is re-designed to be FCC Certified for GMRS (pending), minus a few features that are prohibited on GMRS (see below).
